राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (एनआईटी) मेघालय NIT Meghalaya is inviting candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (जूनियर रिसर्च फेलो JRF) for the entitled project “Fully acoustic testing (परिक्षण) of low-velocity impact damage in the composite plate using the concept of local defect resonance” under AR&DB, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India (GOI) (File no.: AR&DB/2041) in the Dept of Mechanical Engineering (मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग विभाग).
Qualification: MTech/ME (or, BTech with valid GATE score (वैलिड गेट स्कोर)) in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Design/Manufacturing/Fluid and thermal with a minimum of 60% marks or an equivalent in Master’s degree (or, 75% marks or an equivalent) in Bachelor’s degree with valid GATE score. Relaxation (छूट) for SC, ST & PH as per (भारत सरकार (GOI) के मानदंड) Government of India (GOI) norms.
Age limit: Should not be above 28 years as of 16th जनवरी 2023 (relaxable as per the norms/orders of GOI).
Fellowship: Rs. Rs 31,000/- p.m for 2 years and Rs. 35000/- p.m. for the 3rd year

Eligibility (पात्रता)
- The applicant must have a Master’s Degree (M.Sc) in Physics/Applied Physics/Materials Science with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in Master’s Degree.
- The applicants must have studied physics and mathematics in their bachelor’s degree
- The applicants with GATE/CSIR-UGC NET-JRF in Physical Sciences within the last three years will be given more preference.
Desirable Experience (अनुभव): Working experience with DFT calculations and ion beam studies will be given more preference.
Age limit (आयु सीमा): Should not be over 28 years as of August 21st, 2022.
Consolidated Monthly Fellowship (मासिक फैलोशिप): Rs. 25,000 per month [GATE/CSIR-UGC NET–JRF]/ Rs. 14,000 per month [non-GATE/ non-CSIR-UGC NET-JRF]. No other allowance would be paid.
