Meaning of the Logo.

This logo comprise of a gear wheel, abstract of an atom with the orbit of electron and an earthen lamp at the centre.

  • A. Earthen lamp is symbol of light. Light symbolizes knowledge, and darkness represent ignorance. The Lord is the “Knowledge Principle” (Chaitanya) who is the source, the enlivener and the illuminator of all knowledge. Hence light is worshiped as the Lord himself.
Knowledge removes ignorance just as light removes darkness. Also knowledge is a lasting inner wealth by which all outer achievement can be accomplished.
(Hence we light the lamp to bow down to knowledge as the greatest of all forms of wealth.)
  • B. Wheel is derived out of circle. Meaning of the symbol circle is universal, sacred and divine. It represents the infinite nature of energy, and the inclusivity of the universe. Thus gear wheel represents forces that provide energy, movement or direction.
  • C. Atom symbolized Science and energy. It is the basic of all materials and also future of humankind and source of energy.
The institution’s name in English and Hindi encircles the composition in logo. English is universal language and Hindi our national language. Hindi integrates the country and this importance is shown by placing it at the upper half of the logo.

In totality, this logo represents a national level technological institution that dedicates to creation of knowledge through science and technology (atom) to remove ignorance (Light) and bring development. It will contribute through research in energy and will bring positive changes to the society (Wheel and circle) in through knowledge (light).
