The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Meghalaya is one among the thirty one NITs in India established under the NIT Act 2007 (Amended 2012) of the Parliament of India as Institutes of National Importance with full funding support from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
The Training and Placement Cell of the Institute has been set up to look after the Industry-Academia interface so that the students can be groomed into industry-ready technocrats. The Training and Placement Cell looks after:
› Internship of the Students
› Corporate Grooming of the students
› Conducting various grooming sessions from Industry experts
› Conducting Guest Lectures
› Final Placement of the final year students
National Institute of Technology Meghalaya Alumni Association (NITMAA) formed in 2015. The primary goal of this association is to act as a bridge between the past and the present of NIT Meghalaya. The Association is planning to register under Meghalaya Societies Registration Act XII of 1983 soon.
